Sue Ryder Fireworks & Halloween Night

The Sue Ryder Fireworks and Hallowe'en Night at Nettlebed is organised by the Club each year and is held at the end of October. As well as a huge bonfire and professional fireworks display we provide numerous stalls selling burgers, sausages, cakes, hot and cold drinks, soup and mulled wine. There is also a bar and pig roast. The chldren's and adult tombola stalls are very popular. The event attracts the support of almost four thousand parents, young people and children and the children's' fancy dress competition is always a delightful part of the occasion. The 2011 event raised £18,000 for the Sue Ryder Home.

More recently Jim has extended the work to support eight rural hospitals having raised funds from numerous Rotary Clubs, organisations and individuals have responded to his appeal. Next year a major building project is planned at Kamuli.
